A multi-particle model of ferredoxin-dependent cyclic electron transport around PSI, which gives the possibility of “direct” modeling of electron transfer processes in multi-protein complexes and limited diffusion processes in different compartments of the system (stroma, lumen, intermembrane space), is created. The results of the direct model reveal the important role of spatial organization of the system in forming kinetics of redox turnover of P700.
