In presented article the special attention is paid to studying of processes of adaptation of students-freshmen, as their level of adaptation at the beginning of learning in school depends on the level of their further training and activities.

It can be noted that the process of adaptation is a dynamic process that involves activity on the part of the individual, but is accompanied by certain changes in its structure.

Features of adaptation of University students consider Presecki P. A., A. V. Simachev, T. I. Ronginskaya, A. K. Grishanov, etc.

To research the level of adaptability of freshmen in the military University, we developed a method, a set of scales which was defined as the aim of the study and the specifics of the educational institution.

- scale 1 "assessment of the relationship of the newcomer to the team";

- scale 2 "the Extent and nature of satisfaction with teaching";

- scale 3 "self-assessment of its position in the system of formal and informal relations";

- overall scale of "Level of adaptation".

The values of discriminatively tasks of the test were calculated as the rank correlation coefficients Spearman responses to each item of the test with the scale to which he belongs, as well as overall indicator for "Level of adaptivity" in dough.

The control sample included 130 people, therefore, for the significance level of p=0.05 critical value of correlation coefficient r(0,05;130)=0,172. All the values of discriminatively of test tasks, the excess of the module this critical value will be statistically significant.

The developed method was tested on a sample of subjects cadets. The measurement parameters reflect the specifics of adaptation of freshmen to conditions of training in the military College.
