The article addresses the training of foreign postgraduate students in Russian language and language of their speciality. The specifics of this work lies in the different timeframe for the study of Russian language, as well as varying degrees of preparedness on the basic disciplines of students, and the most importantly – the compressed timeline for the protection of dissertations. The article presents the previously published works on this topic.
