Modern research increasingly shows that culture and economics do not exist in isolation, but form a complex system of mutual influences. If traditionally economists viewed culture as a "superstructure" (according to Marx), today its role is being rethought: from a factor explaining the "residual" differences in the development of countries to a key resource for innovation and sustainable growth. The article analyzes the main theoretical approaches to the study of the relationship between culture and economics.
