Conference publicationsCriterion for state support for singleenterprise towns — registered unemployment?кандидат экономических наук, Москва, Центральный экономико-математический институт РАН, tarasovan2008@yandex.ru; Москва, Центральный экономико-математический институт РАН, via_51@mail.ru Single-industry towns in the Russian Federation are territorial entities (settlements) founded around large enterprises with the aim of improving their provision with the necessary labor force. In recent years, the previous problem of combating unemployment in single-industry towns has gradually been replaced by a very real threat for today's Russia of a shortage of the necessary personnel. In this situation, single-industry towns do not need measures aimed at combating unemployment - it is more expedient to direct state support to the development of new technologies. In general, the economy of single-industry towns is being transformed towards greater diversity; state support continues to be provided to them, however, the conditions for its provision are being tightened, and the criteria for such support for single-industry towns in need are being revised. |
